QE2 Drop In
QE2 Drop In Centre operates out of the QE2 campus of Life Church in a purpose-build youth facility called Te Wana Rawhiti. The programme gives 10-18 year olds a safe place to go and hang out on a Friday from 4-7pm. The supportive team provide the kids with home-made pizzas and a range of fun activities including basketball, volleyball and ping pong. The main ingredient of support are our volunteer youth workers providing positive role modelling, encouragement, support, guidance and love.
One of our leaders talked with several parents in cars as they were waiting to collect kids at the end of one Friday night session. They each told them how much they “love” that their “kids have a space to go” and that they “always ask to come down because the love it and the food” that we put on.

A Dad mentioned that his daughter asks most days to come down on a Friday afternoon to the Drop In Centre. He was very grateful that his daughter had found a place she loved to be.
